VW Transporter T5 & T6 Kombi Bed & Drawer System — Switch XL
No cutting. No drilling.
Switch XL fits a T5 or T6 without a single hole drilled, and comes out in twenty minutes. Drawer, bulkhead and full-width bed in one unit: 18mm phenolic-coated birch ply, A4 stainless hardware, runners rated to 180kg. Tools on Monday, bikes on Saturday, a bed when you need one.
Supplied as standard with our OneTouch drawer system, so the drawer opens with one hand when the other one is full.
Three configurations in one unit:
- Full-height bulkhead for secure load separation
- Half-height bulkhead for split use between passengers and cargo
- Full-width bed or load platform for sleeping or storage
Each layout locks securely into place, keeping the system stable and quiet on the road.
It comes out when you sell the van. Nothing is cut and nothing is drilled, so there are no holes to fill and no bodywork to make good. The system moves to the next van, or comes off the price of this one.
Made to order in our workshop in Clevedon. Free installation here takes about an hour. Two-year warranty.

The Switch XL is a game changer for camping in the van and using the van daily, the pull out draw is invaluable in both situations, from storing the camping gear to the weekly food shop, it’s multifunctional for aspects of family life! We purchased the Switch XL for our VW Transporter T6.1 Kombi, and it's made such a difference to how we use the space. The van is now much more practical on a day-to-day basis and the pull out shelf means we no longer have to climb into the back to get to our stuff; so much easier. We haven't tried the bed yet, but it's super easy to pull out, probably in less than a minute. I think the price is good because the materials are very premium and I guess a product like this would cost a lot to manufacture. I definitely recommend.
