Our Impact
Here's why we do this. Our customers spend as much time outdoors as they do at work, and manufacturing isn't free of impact. We wanted a straightforward way to give back, not just talk about it.
We account for that before anything ships. Ovano has been a member of 1% for the Planet since 2024 — at least 1% of revenue goes to vetted environmental partners, every year, whether it's a good year or not.
Certified, not just committed
1% for the Planet doesn't take our word for it. Membership is independently audited by BSI against our revenue every year, and a certificate is issued once it's confirmed. Every contribution we've logged this fiscal year has been reviewed and approved — none pending, none declined.
Where it goes
Five environmental partners, chosen for what they actually do, not how they photograph.
Windmill Hill City Farm
South Bristol's working city farm, 4.5 acres, running for 50 years. Last year it ran outdoor learning for 3,422 children and families, free of charge, and its wellbeing programmes for adults with health and social care needs have never charged a fee either. Same reasoning as St Werburghs: sustainable food and nature contact, taught directly rather than read about.
The numbers
We also work with Ecologi, now a 1% for the Planet member in its own right.

Earlier years also supported DarkSky International, The Woodland Trust, Fairtrade Foundation and City to Sea.
We're proud to partner with Ecologi.
We support responsible reforestation, ecosystem restoration, and carbon removal projects worldwide. Every project is rigorously vetted by Ecologi to ensure the right trees are planted in the right places, with local communities, and that carbon removal meets strict quality criteria.
