The Bike Tray is a modular storage system for the VW Transporter, designed to keep bikes and everyday gear organised, stable, and easy to access. Suitable for SWB and LWB vans, it allows you to carry up to four bikes using fork mounts while still retaining usable load space for tools, luggage, or camping equipment. The tray is available on its own OR with the addition of the overhead tray for carrying further equipment when carrying bikes. This setup works extremely well in a dedicated biking van, think pop-top for sleeping, and a garage downstairs.
Constructed from black phenolic birch plywood with heavy-duty runners and threaded inserts throughout, the Bike Tray is engineered for smooth operation and long-term durability. Whether you’re transporting bikes, work gear, or general cargo, it provides a clean, practical solution without permanent modification.
Please be aware that due to the size of MTB's these days, the rear wheel will overhand in a SWB van. So if the plan is to be carrying MTB's this setup wont work in a kombi as the seats will be in the way.
